Although benign, skin warts or fibroma can be a real cosmetic issue. These skin growths normally appear in places where the skin folds, such as the armpits, neck, groins, under the breasts, belly, and eyelids. The root cause is not yet known, but there are several risk factors including genetics and thickness of skin. This condition is quite common among people of all ages and both genders, but is more prevalent with age. Skin warts often have the same as or a slightly lighter color than the skin.

This condition can pose a health risk when warts start to grow or bleed.

Once skin warts appear on the skin, it’s important to have them checked by a dermatologist, who will decide on an adequate treatment. Some of the conventional treatments of wart removal include electrocoagulation, radiosurgery and laser. Normally one treatment suffices, except for cases when fibroma is larger or widespread.

Post-treatment period usually involves antibiotic treatment for 5 days along with proper hygiene. During this period, extreme caution should be taken in regard to sweating, which is why the best time to have skin warts removed is in colder months.

How to use apple cider vinegar to remove fibroma?

The health benefits of ACV have long been known and used. In fact, this is one of the most beneficial home remedies on the planet used for a wide array of health issues including fibroma removal. The acidic content of ACV is what makes this ingredient highly efficient in treatment of many skin issues.

If the skin warts are around the eyes, ACV is not a suitable treatment as it can damage the eyes.

If you want to use this treatment for removal of fibroma elsewhere on the body, follow the directions:

Thoroughly clean the area around the fibroma using water and mild soap.
First soak the warts in water for 15 minutes rubbing gently with a toothbrush. Dry well.
Then soak a cotton ball in ACV, but squeeze out the excess vinegar. Apply this on the wart securing it with a plaster or a bandage so as to prevent displacement.

Leave it on for 15 minutes before rinsing the wart with water.

Apply the treatment 3 times a day for a few days or until the wart falls off.

The first thing you’ll notice is that the fibroma becomes darker, dries and eventually falls off.

Be aware that the wart can leave a scar especially if larger in size. To prevent this from happening, apply some marigold ointment or aloe vera gel after the treatment.

There won’t be any scarring if the fibroma is not too deep in the skin. Nevertheless, you need to be extra cautious with this treatment.

Important:

Don’t let the vinegar spread on the surrounding skin as it can cause redness.

In case a scab appears, stop using the treatment. In this case, it’s best to leave the scab fall off on its own.
